Introduction to Vestibular Rehabilitation
Join our 1 day course in London to introduce Allied Health Practitioners to Vestibular assessment and management. This course will help you develop an understanding of dizziness assessment, differential diagnosis, and evidence-based management strategies.
Course Highlights
Understanding the Vestibular System – Key anatomy and physiology, including vestibular end organs, vestibulo-cerebellum, vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR), visual-vestibular interactions, and vestibular laws.
Vestibular Pathologies –
Identification of signs, symptoms, and pathophysiology of conditions such as BPPV and unilateral vestibular hypofunction.Comprehensive Dizziness Assessment – Subjective assessment, oculomotor examination, VOR assessments, cervical assessment, positional testing, and balance tests.
BPPV Diagnosis & Management – Assessment and treatment of posterior and horizontal canal BPPV.
Vestibular Rehabilitation & Treatment Planning –
Developing tailored exercise programs, including gaze stability and habituation exercises, and modifying treatments based on patient response.Clinical Decision Making –
Analysing assessment findings to identify the cause of dizziness and determine the need for onward referral.
Structure
The course will be conducted over 1 day and will feature a blend of lectures and practical demonstrations.

You will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion + 7hrs CPD.
